Welcome to the new school year

Welcome back to school. We have some of our lovely learners back from 2019 and new group of learners. We are looking forward to having lots of fun and learning lots of new knowledge and skills along the way. We hope you continue to follow our blog in 2020 and we look forward to lots of new viewers so feel free to recommend our blog to others. Our year has start with a round of assessments but this is now largely completed and we are looking forward to more enjoyable tasks.

  1. Hello Ruma Piwakwaka. We are Room 5 at Tamaki Primary School, Auckland for 2020 and we are your Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu buddy class. We are a wonderful class of Year 4, 5 and 6 students and our teacher is Miss Langton - keep an eye on our class blog this year as we SHARE our LEARNING in lots of CREATIVE ways! Whereabouts on the west coast are you? Which big town/city are you near? Our Cybersmart teacher is Mrs Collins who comes in every Wednesday to help us. We'd love to get some positive, thoughtful and helpful comments and answer any questions you may have. Looking forward to connecting with you to every week or so when we buddy blog. Our new chromebooks are stuck in China at the minute so we'll be using our class blog to connect with you until they arrive.

  2. Hi Room 5, We are an awesome class of Year 4 and 5 students in a school that is six kilometres from the town of Hokitika. Hokitika is well known for the Wildfoods Festival , and the beach art created in an event called Driftwood and Sands. Our Cybersmart teacher is Mrs M. She is great at teaching us how to use our chrome books to help our learning. We get our chrome book in Year 3 so this is either our second, or third year of using them. We hope yours arrive soon from China. Let us know when they arrive so we can make sure we comment on everyone's blogs. We look forward to seeing the great work you are doing.
