Pinks Shirt Day

Piwakawaka participated in Pink Shirt Day. Pink Shirt Day is a day where we agree that bullying is not okay. We need to ensure that we are part of the solution, not the problem. It is never okay to bully others. Bullying is behaviour that continues after we have asked for it to stop. It can be physical or using our words. If our behaviour makes others sad then it needs to stop. Did your class mark Pink Shirt Day? What activities did you do? We would love to see a photo of you in your pink shirt.

    1. It really felt good wearing our pink shirts. It was great to see the school getting behind Pink Shirt Day. It is a great why to show we don't think bullying is cool. At school we learn the difference between being rude, being mean and bullying. Do you learn the difference at St Mary's School.

    1. On Pink Shirt Day we talk about what bullying is, so we can recognise it in the playground. We know to tell others that it is not okay to treat others, or be treated by others, in that way. If you are being bullied you need to get help if you have tried to fix it and the behaviour does not stop.
